On Saturday, December 3, 2016 the following roads will be temporarily affected by the annual Reindeer Run scheduled to start at 8:30 a.m. The race will start and end on Coleman Avenue at Adams Street.
- Montpelier Avenue will be closed from Johnson Avenue to Adams Street around 9:00 a.m. Montpelier Avenue will be open down to Linden Avenue.
- One lane of Mercer University Drive westbound will be closed and there will be no access to College Street until all runners pass.
- Oglethorpe Street will be closed from College Street to Adams Street.
- Coleman Avenue will be closed from College Street to Linden Avenue.
- One lane of Forsyth Street into town will be blocked to Spring Street.
- Pine Street will be blocked from New Street to Spring Street. Ambulances and emergency transports to the Navicent Hospital will be allowed thru on Pine Street.
- One lane of MLK Jr. Boulevard from Pine Street to Walnut Street will be blocked.
Deputies with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office and volunteers will be along the route to assist motorist in these areas. The roads should be cleared by 11:00 a.m.
