On Saturday, December 4, 2021, the following roads will be temporarily closed due to the Christmas Parade that will start at 2:00 p.m. The parade will begin on Columbus Road and end at the Kunj Construction parking lot, located at 8062 Eisenhower Parkway.
Lizella Christmas Parade Route:
* Columbus Rd (behind fire station) to Eisenhower Pkwy
* Eisenhower Pkwy east to Kunj Construction parking lot
Roads that will be blocked during the parade are:
* Eisenhower Pkwy at Redding Way
* Eisenhower Pkwy at Columbus Road
* Columbus Road at Hamlin
* N. Lizella Road at Eisenhower Pkwy
* S. Lizella Road at Access to Eisenhower Parkway
The detour for the Lizella parade will be:
Coming into Macon eastbound on Eisenhower from Crawford County – Columbus Rd to Hamlin Rd, Hamlin Rd to Holley Rd, back to Eisenhower or towards Crawford County.Leaving Macon westbound on Eisenhower – at the roundabout, take Holley Rd to Hamlin Rd, Hamlin Rd to Columbus Rd, Columbus Rd to Eisenhower above Fire Station.
