Multiple suspects arrested, and firearms recovered by Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies, in response to reports of multiple suspects armed at North Napier Apartments.
On July 26, 2023, at 3:18 p.m., Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to North Napier Apartments at 4017 Napier Avenue, in reference to reports of several individuals outside pointing firearms within the apartment complex community. Deputies arrived at 3:22 p.m. to investigate. Three adults and five juveniles were detained. Investigators responded to the scene. Through the course of the investigation, one rifle and three handguns were recovered.
The adults were identified as eighteen-year-old Dorian Markel Rumph, twenty-year-old Zyikee Mylakhi Stroud, and nineteen-year-old Keyantae Tireque Blash, all from Macon. All juveniles were identified and released to parents pending further investigation. Rumph, Stroud, and Blash were transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center from Investigation headquarters.
Dorian Rumph, Zyikee Stroud, and Keyantae Blash were charged with Criminal Street Gang Activity, Unlawful Possession of Firearms, and multiple counts of Contributing to the Delinquency to a Minor. Blash who was on Probation for Carrying a Firearm on School Grounds and under Felony Indictment for Robbery by Force was also charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Probation Violation. All suspects are currently being held without bond. More charges are pending as the investigation continues.
