Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Investigators charge a suspect in connection with the fatal shooting of 15-year-old Ozias Gore. The incident happened on Bloomfield Road on April 8, 2023, just before 3:00 p.m.
Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators transported a person of interest, 17-year-old Raheem Seree Smith to Investigations Headquarters where he was questioned regarding the fatal shooting of Ozias Gore. Through the course of the investigation, Raheem Smith was identified as a suspect. He was transported back to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and charged with Murder. Raheem Seree Smith is currently being held without bond.

Death Investigation on Bloomfield Road
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that happened in the 5900 block of Bloomfield Road, just before 3:00 p.m.
Deputies responded to the 5900 block of Bloomfield Road regarding a person shot. When deputies arrived, they found 15-year-old Ozias Gore, of Macon, unresponsive. It was reported that a vehicle drove by the residence on Bloomfield Road and multiple shots were fired. Gore was transported to the Navicent Health hospital where he was pronounced deceased by staff. The next of kin has been notified at this time per Coroner Leon Jones. No one else was injured during the incident. There is no further information on the suspect at this time.
