The Bibb Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a suspicious package just before noon today at Porter Elementary School located at 5802 School Road at the request of the Bibb County Board of Education Police. The Bibb Sheriff’s EOD Unit and one of the Bomb K9 Units also responded to the scene. It was reported that a suitcase had been left out in the front parking lot of the school. Deputies with the EOD examined the suitcase and discovered that there was only children’s clothing inside of it. The scene was cleared at about 1:00PM.
