On April 26, 2021, at 1:06 p.m. Bibb County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies were checking the area of Peter Street when they witnessed a Ford Taurus parked against the flow of traffic.
Deputies then conducted a traffic stop to make contact with the male driver identified as, 29-year-old Trever Dewayne Rainey, of Macon. While deputies were approaching Rainey, deputies witnessed him throw several small blue bags containing a white substance on the ground outside of the vehicle. When deputies approached the driver-side window of the vehicle, they noticed a handgun and asked Rainey to exit the vehicle.
Deputies ran a check on Rainey and discovered he was a convicted felon and was not supposed to be in possession of a handgun. Deputies made contact with the second subject, 31-year-old Izely Roland Crowley III, who was standing outside the vehicle speaking to Rainey when they approached the area. Deputies searched Crowley and found a handgun in the waistband of his pants. The gun was found to have been reported stolen out of Warner Robins. Both Rainey and Crowley were transported to the Bibb County jail. Once at the jail, staff searched Rainey’s wallet and found a small bag containing a white powdery substance.
Rainey was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in Schedule II , Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Crossing Guard Lines with Illegal Drugs. He is being held on a $20,992.00 bond at the time.
Crowley was charged with Possession of Firearm During Commission of a Felony and Theft by Receiving Stolen Property. He is being held on a $9,450.00 bond at this time.
