On September 23, 2019, 11:33 a.m., Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputies arrested a Macon man and woman for Theft by Receiving of a Vehicle and Drug Possession.

Deputies responded to the BP Gas Station at 4328 Hartley Bridge Road in regards to a person to see a possible stolen auto at the business. When deputies arrived they located a BMW 328I that was reported stolen out of Gwinnett County.

Deputies were able to detain the driver, 31-year-old Cameron Thomas Burkhalter, and the passenger, 22-year-old Bailey Marie Bryan, without incident. The vehicle was confirmed to be stolen.

While deputies were checking the vehicle they located a small bag of Methamphetamine under the driver seat where Burkhalter was sitting and a bag containing Xanax pills in Bryan’s possessions.

Burkhalter was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Theft by Receiving Stolen Auto. He also had a warrant for Probation Violation. He is being held without bond at this time.

Bryan was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Possession of Schedule IV Controlled Substance. She also has warrants out of the Jones County Sheriff’s Office and the Peach County Sheriff’s Office. She is being held on an $8,450.00 at this time.
