On February 2, 2020, at 1:01 p.m., Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputies arrested two subjects for Theft by Taking and Criminal Damage to Property.
Deputies responded to 4599 Pio Nono Avenue, Houston Auto Auction, regarding a suspicious vehicle parked behind a building. When deputies arrived, they found a Ford Mustang, that did not belong to the business, hidden behind one of the buildings.
Deputies began searching the Houston Auto Auction parking lot and located a male subject under one of the vehicles, cutting the catalytic converter off. Deputies were able to take the suspect into custody without incident. He was identified as 30-year-old Chad Nolan Roberson, of Macon. He was secured in one of the patrol cars.
Deputies went back to search the lot and located a second subject, under another vehicle cutting out the catalytic converter. The second suspect was also taken into custody without incident and identified as 28-year-old Seth Clinton Arnold, of Dry Branch.
Roberson was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with three counts of Theft by Taking and three counts of Criminal Damage to Property. He is being held on a $19,350.00 bond at this time.
