A Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputy was patrolling the area of Houston Avenue near Eisenhower Parkway just after 2:00pm April 7, 2019. The patrol deputy noticed a Honda Accord with very dark tinted windows.
The Deputy initiated a traffic stop on Eisenhower Parkway with the vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was 29-year-old Daphanie Martin, of Macon. When the deputy was talking to Martin they could smell a strong odor of Marijuana coming from inside the car.
During the traffic stop, the Deputy checked the vehicle and located a 10mm semi-auto pistol multiple bags of Marijuana and other drug related objects. The gun was listed stolen out of Macon on January 4, 2019.
The passenger 28 year-old Deontae Dewayne Satcher, of Macon stated to deputies that the drugs and gun were his.
Satcher was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Theft by Receiving Stolen Property Felony, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon and Possession of a Firearm During Commission of a Felony. Satcher is being held on a $25,250.00 bond at this time.
Martin was issued a citation for the dark tint on her vehicle and released.
