Investigators from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit , H.E.A.T. Unit, and members of the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested 32-year-old Antwan Cornelius Brooks, in connection with a drug investigation that spanned several months. During the course of the investigation, members of the Special Investigations Unit seized over 135 grams of methamphetamines from Brooks. Warrants were issued for Brooks arrest, and he was located Thursday evening, at a local gas station. After apprehending Brooks, investigators recovered a handgun, an ounce of methamphetamines, and they also located approximately $4, 121.00.
Investigators conducted a search warrant on his Friar Tuck Lane residence and recovered approximately 15 more grams of methamphetamines, one pound and eight ounces of marijuana, and four additional firearms.
Brooks was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, and is being held without bond, for the charges of Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute, (5 counts ) of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission or Attempt to Commit Certain Felonies, and (4 counts) of Sale of Methamphetamine.
