Due to the diligent work of Investigator Malcolm Bryant with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division, an arrest was made in the 2004 homicide of 36-year-old Michael Glover.

On November 23, 2020, Investigator Bryant was assigned the cold case of Michael Glover. During the review of this case, Investigator Bryant resubmitted evidence to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. On March 8, 2021, Investigator Bryant received information that the evidence he provided returned a positive match from Combined DNA Index System(CODIS) that matched the DNA of 39-year-old Terrance Bryant Dean, of Macon.

After receiving this information, Investigator Bryant was able to follow up on leads and obtain additional information needed in this case. Investigator Bryant then issued warrants for the arrest of Dean for the homicide of Michael Glover. During the resubmission of evidence into cold cases Investigator Bryant was also able to issue warrants on Dean for a rape, where evidence returned a positive match to his DNA. Due to the nature of the offence of rape, details about the incident are confidential.

Investigator Bryant was assisted by members of the U.S. Marshals Southeastern Regional Fugitive Task Force in locating Dean. Dean was located and taken into custody outside a home in the 500 block of Nelson Street around 12:00 p.m. Friday afternoon without incident. During a search of Dean’s pockets, investigators recovered thirty small bags that contained a white powdery substance.

Dean was transported to the Bibb County jail and charged with Murder, Rape, and Sale of a Controlled Substance. Dean is being held without bond.
