A Macon man was arrested at around 1:00p.m.Wednesday afternoon, by members of the Southeastern Regional Fugitive Task Force on a warrant for the charge of Aggravated Assault. Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators charged 32-year-old Alton Darnnell Oliver of Macon in connection to a shooting incident that took place near an illegal “shot house” that was located on Grosso Avenue,  June 6th of this month.

Quaterris Thomas was walking in front of the illegal “shot house” when shots were fired from an abandoned parking lot. Thomas was struck in the hip by one of the bullets and was transported to the Navicent Health. Thomas has since been released.

Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators discovered the identity of the suspect during the course of the investigation and took out warrants for Oliver’s arrest.

Oliver is currently being held at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center with a bond of $27,700.00.
