On January 24, 2020, 1:27 p.m. Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputies arrested a Macon man for theft of a vehicle.

Deputies responded to 3913 Riverside Drive, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, regarding meeting with the manager of Hutchinson Automotive, who located one of their vehicles that was stolen. Deputies were able to determine that on January 24, 2020, a GMC Acadia was taken from the lot at Hutchinson. The manger attempted to locate the vehicle on the lot during the week, but was unable to find the Acadia. The OnStar system was activated, and the vehicle was located in the parking lot of Carrabba’s Italian Grill, next door to the dealership.

Deputies were able to look at the video from Carrabba’s surveillance system and determine that the person who parked the car at the restaurant was an employee of Hutchinson Automotive. Deputies made contact with 21-year-old Keshawn Marquez Lundy, of Macon, at the detail shop of Hutchinson. He was taken into custody without incident and still had the keys to the vehicle on his person. Lundy was never given permission to drive the vehicle.

Lundy was taken to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office and charged with Theft by Taking Auto. He is being held on a $5,700.00 bond at this time.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact the Bibb Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500 or Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
