On October 10, 2019, at 6:27 p.m. Bibb County Sheriff’s Patrol deputies responded to a call for assistance from an Animal Enforcement Officer on Glendale Avenue.
Deputies found 21-year-old Cody Mackulum Solomon who had been dragging a dog cage with two puppies in it. Deputies were informed by Animal Enforcement Officers that they had placed the cage to capture the stray dogs in a complainant’s yard and had witnessed Solomon dragging it down the road.
When deputies went to detain Solomon he began trying to run off and resisting the deputies. During the struggle with Solomon, one of the deputies sustained minor injuries to his elbows and a cut on his nose.
Solomon was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Felony Obstruction of a Peace Officer, Theft by Taking and Cruelty to Animals. He is being held on $8,120.00 bond at this time.
