On December 12, 2019, at 12:26 a.m. Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to the 1000 block of Thomas Place in reference to a person shot.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a Kia Optima that was driving in the area. Deputies made contact with the driver 20-year-old Jacorey Keshawn Meadows, of Macon. While checking Meadows’ information deputies noticed that he was acting nervous and trying to reach under his seat. Deputies gave Meadows verbal commands to stop and that is when Meadows exited the vehicle and ran off on foot.
Deputies conducted an inventory of the vehicle and located two pistols and a bag of Marijuana along with Meadows’ identification.
On December 13, 2019, at 11:54 p.m., deputies went to Meadows residence in the 4300 block of Pharr Avenue and took him into custody without incident.
Meadows was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with two counts of Theft by Receiving Stolen Property, two counts of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, one count of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute and one count of Obstruction of a Peace Officer. He is being held without bond at this time.
