Just after 1:00 a.m., Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies observed what appeared to be a domestic dispute between a male and a female in the parking lot of Sparks Wings and Deli, located at 3761 Mercer University.
While attempting to speak with the male subject, 34-year-old Javonta Jamaal Grace, of Macon. Grace attempted to walk away from deputies and return to his vehicle. As deputies approached the vehicle, they observed an AR pistol inside the vehicle and could smell the odor of marijuana coming from within the vehicle. Grace was then detained and when he was searched a handgun and drugs were removed from him. Deputies located an additional handgun, one pound of marijuana, ecstasy pills and currency after a search of his vehicle.
Grace was taken to the Bibb County jail and charged with Trafficking in Schedule 1 Drugs, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute and three counts of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony. He is being held without bond at this time.
