The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office arrested a suspect in connection with an armed robbery attempt of the Subway that is located at 1433 Eisenhower Parkway at around 9:30p.m. Monday night. It was reported that an armed suspect wearing black hooded sweatshirt, black pants with stripes running down the legs and black shoes with white trim, entered the restaurant and demanded money. The clerk ran to the back, locking herself in the freezer. The suspect immediately ran out of the store, without any money. Bibb Sheriff’s Deputies and Investigators arrived on the scene and immediately canvassed the area. The investigation led to arrest of the suspect who was located at a nearby residence on Neville Way. Oscar Eugene Pitts, age 54 of Macon, was taken to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center for the charges of Criminal Attempt to Commit a Felony ( Armed Robbery) and Probation Violation State Court. Pitts does not have a bond at this time.
