The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating several “Smash and grab “incidents that took place in the Houston Road and Hartley Bridge Road areas, early Monday morning. The suspects used large rocks to bust out the front glass doors of Cynthia’s Hair and Nails and its neighboring business, Tropical Flava, both located on Houston Road. The suspects busted out the doors and entered the businesses, but did not take any merchandise.

Approximately a mile south, in a shopping center located at the corner of Houston Road and Hartley Bridge Road, the suspects attempted to bust out the front door of Moon’s Wings, but were unsuccessful. The suspects did bust the front glass door and entered Finesse Nails. The suspects did not take any merchandise from this business.

2 miles west on Hartley Bridge Road the suspects broke out the glass door of the Papa John’s Pizza and its neighboring business, Farmers Insurance. The suspects did not take anything from the Papa John’s Pizza, but they did take a lap top computer and between $20.00 -$50.00 cash from Farmers Insurance.

In each of these incidents the suspects used a large rock to break out the front door glass so that they could enter the business. The burglar alarm companies did not call in any alerts from any of the businesses as they were being entered Monday morning.

The Sheriff’s Office was able to obtain photographs of the two masked suspects from surveillance cameras of nearby businesses, during its investigation.
