The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a single vehicle traffic accident that occurred at 9:28 a.m. Sunday. It was reported that a adult male driver was traveling on Hawkinsville Road, just before the Warner Robins City limit.
It was reported that the vehicle left the roadway and hit a guardrail. The vehicle then went down an embankment and struck a tree. The adult male driver and his 10-year-old son were ejected from the vehicle. The driver was transported to the Navicent Health hospital to receive treatment for his injuries. The 10-year-old male was pronounced dead on the scene.
Names will be released once next of kin is notified. This accident is under investigation.
