The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that occurred at around 8:52am Friday morning, near the intersection of Capitol Avenue and Chatham Street. According to witnesses statements, a man and a woman were arguing outside of a black Dodge Stratus. While arguing, the man pulled a gun out and shot at the female, 18 year old Malikah Harris of Macon. Harris received a minor wound to the left leg. No one else was injured during this incident.
The suspect ran from the scene, headed towards Houston Avenue. The suspect is a black male. He is approximately 5 feet 7 inches in height and weight around 130 lbs. He last seen wearing a camouflage jumpsuit.
Investigators are speaking with witnesses and processing the scene in an effort to determine the identity of the suspect.
