Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 5700 block of Rivoli Drive just after 12:30PM today after a couple of calls came in to the Macon-Bibb 911 Center in reference to the two teens being spotted by residents that live in the area. Deputies began searching the area where the teens were last seen.
At around 12:50PM Deputies located Brittany Carter and Carlos Bernal in a wooded area in the 5700 block of Rivoli Drive. Carter and Bernal had some abrasions and cuts from being out in the wooded areas but appeared in good condition. Both were checked out by EMS. The parents of Carter and Bernal were contacted and are on their way to Macon to be reunited with them.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the media, the Macon-Bibb 911 Center Dispatchers and the citizens of Bibb County for helping to locate the teenagers and return them back safely to their families.
