On Thursday December 24th, Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies were rerouting traffic on Vineville Avenue between Riverdale Avenue at Vineville Avenue and Roycrest Avenue at Vineville Avenue due to a damaged utility pole. Georgia power was on the scene assessing the situation. The Georgia Department of Transportation was also notified.
Just before 8:00AM Thursday morning, a driver of a 2005 white GMC Pickup Truck was traveling west on Vineville Avenue when he lost control of the truck and struck the utility pole at Vineville Avenue and Berkley Drive. The driver, identified as 45 year old Tony King, from Macon, was not injured.
Traffic was rerouted until the pole and lines were repaired.
