The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has closed off a small section of Riverside Drive near Broadway to all vehicle traffic due to a broken water pipe. Riverside Drive will be closed from Broadway east to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. Deputies and Emergency Management personnel are on the scene to help traffic safely detour around this area. The Macon Water Authority has been notified and are on the scene accessing the situation.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office will update you on information of the road closure as we receive it from Macon Water Authority. We are asking motorist to avoid this area if at all possible.
