The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office received information at around 6:30 p.m. today from Bibb County Fire Department; that Highway 247 North and south bound lanes between Avondale Mill Road and Industrial Parkway will remain closed to traffic tonight until further notice. All traffic will be rerouted through Feagin Road.
The closer is due to repair on a gas line that was cut during construction work.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office will keep everyone updated on any changes as to the time period of the road closure and any further delays.
