Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a personal armed robbery at the Exxon Food Mart located at 2630 Emory Highway just after 7:00 p.m. Friday night. It was reported that the 51 year old male victim had just exited the store when approached by a black male who asked the victim for a cigarette. The male suspect snatched the victim’s wallet, money clip and items he had purchased in the store. The suspect was not reported to be armed with a weapon. The victim was not injured and the suspect fled the area on foot. A deputy that responded to the scene recognized the suspect from the stores video surveillance footage.
Deputies and investigators went to a location on Dorothy Drive and found the suspect who was identified as 17 year old Malik Feagin. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigative Division. Feagin was later transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center charged with Robbery.
