The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 35-year-old John Pierre, of Macon, in connection to charges of Money Laundering, Computer Crimes (Theft using Computers), Financial Transaction Card Fraud and Theft by Receiving.
On April 11, 2019, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Financial Crimes Unit was contacted by Capital City Bank in regards to an e-mail “phishing” scheme used to steal money from multiple bank accounts.
It was reported that on April 9, 2019, a bank account in Alabama had over $20,000.00 stolen it through wire transactions which lead to an account in Bibb County.
The stolen funds were used to purchase gift cards and money orders totaling almost $6,000.00. The account was frozen before all the money could be withdrawn from it.
The account was traced to a Pierre and an address in the 1200 block of Glendale Avenue. On April 23, 2019, Investigators were able to obtain a search warrant for the address for Pierre. When they searched the residence they located a large number of gift cards, a large number of state I.D. and credit cards in multiple names and multiple cell phones and computers.
Pierre’s girlfriend 35-year-old Samantha Riccle Cole, of Macon, was at the residence and was taken into custody and charged with Theft by Receiving Stolen Property and Money Laundering. She was released on April 25, 2019, on a $16,700.00 bond.
John Pierre is wanted on warrants of Money Laundering, Computer Crimes, Financial Transaction Card Fraud and Theft by Receiving Stolen Property. Pierre is known to frequent the Atlanta Georgia area and has ties to Miami Florida. Attached is a photo of Pierre.
