Bibb County Sheriff’s Property Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in helping to identify a suspect involved in an auto theft that occurred on Tuesday, January 27, 2015. The theft occurred sometime between the hours of 10:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. at the Massee Apartments located at 347 College Street.
It was reported that the owner of the 2012 silver Ford Focus discovered his vehicle missing at around 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2015. He had left his vehicle parked in the rear parking lot of the apartment building. Surveillance video from a camera at the apartment complex showed a black male wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with the words “Budweiser Beer” on it. It showed the suspect getting into the vehicle and driving away in it.
The Ford Focus was recovered on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at around 3:40 p.m. at an abandoned house in the 3800 block of Tela Place.

This incident is currently under investigation.
