The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in helping to identify a suspect in a robbery by snatching incident. On Thursday, March 26,2015, just before 6:00AM, Bibb Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies responded to a report of a theft at the Lucky 7 Foods convenience store located at 1290 Gray Highway. After gathering information at the scene the incident was determined to be a robbery by snatching. It was reported that the 42 year old female victim was sitting at one of the game machines inside the store when two black males came into the store and sat near her. She said both males suddenly got up and one of the males snatched her pocketbook. Both suspects ran out of the store, got into a small white car and fled the scene. The victim and a witness gave a partial tag number of the vehicle which was “9122”.
The black male suspect in the photograph attached is wearing a light and dark colored striped shirt. The photograph was taken from the surveillance video inside the store during the incident.
This incident is currently under investigation.
