The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect involved in the personal armed robbery that occurred at Robins Federal Credit Union, located at 4245 Log Cabin Drive. The incident occurred just before 11:00p.m. on Sunday, May 29, 2016.
It was reported that the victim was at the ATM outside the business, when a black male described as being light skinned, armed with a black handgun, pointed the gun at the victim and demanded money. The victim told the suspect he did not get any money out of the ATM. The suspect fired one shot into the ground, telling the victim to give him the money and threatening to harm him if he did not give him the money. The victim withdrew approximately $200.00 from the ATM, giving it and his wallet to the suspect. The suspect fled on foot across Log Cabin Drive towards Hillary Place.
The victim also reported just before the robbery, he noticed a white or silver SUV, possibly a Chevrolet Suburban driving slowly through the parking lot and around the side of the building in the area from where the suspect approached the victim.
The light-skinned black male was described as wearing a blue hoodie with a blue bandana covering his face and blue jeans.
