The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Personal Armed Robbery that took place in the restrooms, near the Pavilions, at Tattnall Square Park. The incident happened at around 12:44p.m., Sunday afternoon.

It was reported that the victim, 32 year old Elaine Pham, from Columbus was in the restroom when a male suspect walked in. The suspect was brandishing a small silver handgun as he entered the restroom. The suspect grabbed Pham’s purse and began to rummage through it. The suspect took several personal items and then handed the purse back to the victim. The suspect fled the scene and ran towards Oglethorpe Street. No one was injured during the incident.

The suspect was described as a black male. He was around 5 feet 10 inches in height and he had a slender build. The suspect was possibly wearing a long sleeved orange shirt. No further description was given.
