The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of an armed robbery that took place just before 7:30P.M on Friday afternoon in the parking lot of the Shoe Show at 2525 Pio Nono Ave.
Two suspects approached the 42yr old male victim and demanded money, while one of the suspects brandished a handgun. The suspect’s grabbed the male victim but he was able to flee, headed towards the store. The suspects followed victim and confronted his wife as she was exiting the store and took her purse. The suspect with the handgun was pointing it at the male victim and fired a shot at him. The male victim had already retrieved his pistol from his car and fired shots back at the suspect. The suspects dropped the purse and ran into the wood line near the old Wal-Mart store. The victims were not injured. Deputies canvassed the area but did not locate either of the suspects.
The suspects were described as being black males around 5 foot 10 inches tall and slender in build with ski masks covering their faces and wearing gloves and jump suits.
