The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a personal armed robbery that took place at around 5:18p.m., Sunday afternoon. The incident happened in the 3800 block of Mathis Street, in south Macon.

It was reported that 58 yr. old Gregory Wayne Salter had just pulled into his driveway when two male suspects walked up and pulled him out of his vehicle. One of the suspects brandished a knife, the second suspect pulled out a pink colored handgun. The suspects demanded the keys to his vehicle. Once the suspects received the keys, they got into Salter’s Honda Accord and fled the scene, headed towards Sylvian Drive. No one was injured during this incident.

The suspects were described as black males. The suspect with the knife was described as being short and he was wearing a mask over his face. Witnesses were unable to a good description of the second suspect.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 2001 Honda Accord. The vehicle is gold in color with a Georgia License plate, DP5RT2.
