The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of a personal armed robbery that took place just around 11:00a.m.Tuesday morning at the intersection of Hartley Street and Houston Ave.
It was reported that the victim 26 year old Sequoia Hubbard was traveling on Houston Ave when he picked up a black male and gave him a ride. During the ride the man grabbed Hubbard wallet and attempted to exit the vehicle. Hubbard and the suspect begin to fight for the wallet. During the altercation the suspect presented a gun and Hubbard was shot once in the right hand. The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction with Hubbard wallet. Hubbard was driven to the Navicent Health Center by a family member and is listed in stable condition. The incident was reported by the Navicent Health Police Department after Hubbard came into the hospital with the gunshot wound.
