Bibb County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies answered a call of a person that was robbed and shot at Autumn Trace Apartments, located at 1745 Rocky Creek Road apartment A-1 at around 8:25 p.m. Monday night. Deputies were told to meet the victim at the Citgo, located at 1681 Rocky Creek Road. When deputies arrived at the store they met with the victim, 17yr old Kedrick Young. It was discovered that Young was shot once in the left arm and once in the right leg.
Young told deputies while exiting apartment A-1 to have a smoke, he was approached by three unknown subjects wearing dark colored hoodies that demanded he give them his marijuana. Young told the suspects that he had nothing. One of the suspects pulled a firearm and shot Young twice. Young told deputies he ran away as the suspect continued to fire shots at him. Young ran to the Citgo gas station for help.
Investigators met with Young and Young told them that the suspects did not take any of his possessions during the robbery. Young was transported to the Navicent Center for treatment. His injuries are non-life threatening. Young is listed in stable condition.
It was reported by the management of the apartments that apartment A-1 was a vacant apartment. Investigators and Crime lab went to apartment A-1 after getting a key from management. They found apartment A-1 vacant. It also appeared that no one had been in the apartment. When investigators asked Young for more detail information, he was uncooperative.
