The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an accident involving a pedestrian that occurred in the 1400 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
The accident took place at 6:20 p.m. It was reported that a female driver was traveling on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. when a male walked into the roadway and was struck by the vehicle. The male was transported to the Navicent hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. No one else was injured during this accident.
This incident is still under investigation. The name of the victim will be released once next of kin has been notified.
