The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a traffic accident, involving a pedestrian that occurred at around 10:00p.m. Saturday night, on Hopewell Road. It was reported that a 1998 GMC Sonoma driven by 36yr old Betty Jones was traveling east on Hopewell Rd., when a male ran into the path of the vehicle. Jones stated that she didn’t see the pedestrian until it was too late. Jones attempted to avoid hitting 37yr old Billy Swords of Lizella, as he was running across Hopewell Rd. No one else was injured during this incident. No charges have been filed.
Swords was transported to the Navicent Health by ambulance. Swords is listed to be in stable condition.
