Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies answered a call of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the 3100 block of Evergreen Drive, just after 11:23 a.m. Monday morning. It was reported that a 2017 Kia Forte, driven by 48 year old Wendy Christian of Macon, was traveling north on Evergreen Drive. A 12 year old boy was traveling west on Perdue Street, on his bicycle. The young boy was riding down a hill and did not stop for the stop sign, at the intersection of Perdue Street and Evergreen Drive. Christian attempted to brake in an effort to avoid a collision with the bicyclist. The young boy hit the front passenger side of the Kia.
The 12 year old was transported to the hospital where he is listed to be in stable condition. No one else was injured during this incident.
