The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a pedestrian traffic incident that occurred in the 3100 block of Hillcrest Avenue, just after 10:00 p.m.
A passerby called in a male laying in the roadway unresponsive. When deputies arrived, they found a 53-year-old male of Macon, that was struck by a vehicle. The victim was pronounced deceased on scene by Bibb County Deputy Coroner L. Miley. The next of kin has not been notified at this time.
The driver of the Volkswagen Jetta, a 26-year-old male of Macon, that struck the victim, was traveling east on Hillcrest Avenue. No one else was injured during the incident.
