Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies received a call at around 8:45 p.m. tonight that Keith Lynn Jones had been spotted in the area of Hartley Bridge Road at Houston Road behind some businesses. When deputies arrived, the person that had called was standing by with Jones. Jones told deputies that he had been hiding deep in a wooded area and decided to come out.
Jones was physically ok, but he was transported to a local hospital to be checked. His family was notified that he had been located.

Public’s Assistance Locating Missing Person
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 54 year old Keith Lynn Jones of Macon. This morning just before 9:00 a.m. Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies answered a call of a white male walking around in the 3200 block of Hartley Bridge Road, wearing only a towel. Deputies made contact with the man, identified as 54 year old Keith Lynn Jones of Macon. Jones had apparently cut himself from breaking a window at his home. Paramedics were notified to come and check on Jones.
Jones went with the paramedics who were going to transport him to a local hospital to be checked. While in the ambulance, Jones jumped up from the stretcher while stopped and ran out of the ambulance. Jones was not wearing any clothing. He was last seen running in the area of Hartley Bridge Road and Houston Road. Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies have been searching the area along with the Georgia State Patrol Helicopter that assisted. Jones has not been located at this time and may be hiding. It is reported that Jones may suffer from a mental illness. Jones is approximately 5 feet 11 inches in height and weighs 175 pounds. He has blue eyes and brown hair.
