Derwin Eric Lawson was located this afternoon at around 12:00 noon today. Lawson was found outside the Chamber of Commerce building located at 1228 Watson Boulevard by his Special Olympics Coach, Mr. Brown. Brown was driving down Watson Boulevard, saw Lawson and recognized him. Brown contacted the Warner Robins Police Department and discovered that Lawson had been reported missing in Bibb county.
Warner Robins Police Department notified the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office that Lawson had been located. Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies and investigators met with Lawson and WRPD officers in Houston County. Lawson was transported to a local hospital in Houston County where he was checked after being out in the cold weather. His family was also notified that he had been found.
