Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested three people on drugs and gun charges. On August 28, 2019, at 5:56 p.m. deputies were patrolling the area of San Juan Avenue and Richmond Street when they witnessed a Chevy Silverado fail to stop at the stop sign.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle.  When the vehicle stopped at an address on Burke Street, the passengers got out of the vehicle along with the driver and began fidgeting and acting nervous. The driver was identified as 44-year-old Billy Jack Hester. While deputies talked to him, he did confess that there were drugs and a gun in the vehicle. All three suspects were detained.

Deputies searched the vehicle and located two large clear bags of Methamphetamine and a Ruger .380 pistol. Deputies determined that the pistol was reported stolen out of the Dalton area in 2017.

Hester was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Trafficking in Methamphetamine and two traffic violations. He is being held without bond at this time.

The first passenger, 36-year-old John Colter Fountain, of Dry Branch, was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine. He is being held without bond at this time.

The second passenger 24-year-old Kelly Ann Jones, of Macon, was taken to the Bibb County Jail and charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine. She is being held without bond at this time.
