MEDIA RELEASE: Arrest Made In Homicide Investigation On Cherry Street at MLK Boulevard

Bibb County Sheriff’s Office investigators, along with the assistance of the Bureau Of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Agents, and U.S. Marshals Northern District Of Georgia Agents arrested an individual in connection to the  homicide investigation of 20-year-old Donovan Munir Cason, and 21-year-old Kabryan Johnson .

Bibb Sheriff’s investigators identified the suspect as 22-year-old Jacorey Keshawn Meadows, of Macon, and had warrants issued for his arrest. Meadows was taken into custody at an apartment complex in Atlanta without incident.

Meadows was transported to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Annex for questioning and then taken to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.  Meadows  is currently being held, without bond, for the charge of two counts of Murder and five counts of Aggravated Assault.

Warrants for an unrelated incident for three counts of Aggravated Assault , Theft by Taking , Possession of a Firearm during the Commission or Attempt to Commit a Felony, and Possession of Marijuana were also served on Meadows.

Homicide Investigation on Cherry Street at MLK Boulevard

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Homicide that was reported to have occurred at the corner of Cherry Street and MLK Boulevard around 12:41 a.m.

It was reported that there was a large fight on the sidewalk when shots were fired. As deputies and emergency medical personnel arrived on the scene, 20-year-old Donovan Munir Cason, of Macon, was found unresponsive. Cason was pronounced deceased on scene.

A second gunshot wound victim, 21-year-old Kabryan Johnson, of Macon, was transported to Atrium Health Navicent by ambulance.

Both victims were pronounced deceased by the Bibb County Coroner’s Office. Next of kin for both victims have been notified.

It was also reported that a 20-year-old male was also injured by gunfire. He was transported by personal vehicle to Atrium Health Navicent and is listed in stable condition.

A 20-year-old female was transported to the Coliseum Medical Center by personal vehicle and is listed in stable condition.
