The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit (SIU), Bibb County Sheriff’s Gang Unit, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, and members of the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, made an arrest after a gun and drugs were located, during a search warrant that was served on Pursley Street.

While serving the search warrant, deputies seized a Berretta handgun, approximately 2.3 pounds of marijuana, 23 grams of crack cocaine, and a half of kilo of powdered cocaine. Investigators arrested 50-year-old Tommy Lee Cummings Jr., during the service of the warrant.

Cummings is being held at the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center, without bond, for the following charges: Trafficking in Cocaine, Illegal Drugs, Marijuana, or Methamphetamines, Possess/ Manufacture/ Distribute etc. Marijuana within 1,000 feet of schools, Possess/ Manufacture/ Distribute etc. Controlled Substance within 1,000 feet of schools, Purchase, Possess, or Have Control of Controlled Substance in Schedule I or Narcotic in Schedule II, and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of or Attempt to Commit Certain Felonies.
