Bibb County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies responded to the 3000 block of Flamingo Drive at around 5:30a.m., Saturday morning after receiving a report of two male suspects throwing Molotov cocktails at a house. The residents of the home were awake and saw the flames outside of the home. As the suspects were fleeing the scene, the residents extinguished the fire. The suspects fled the area in a Honda type vehicle. No one was injured during this incident.
After further investigation into the incident the Bibb County Patrol Deputies identified one of the suspects as Glentavious Gabriel Lane. Deputies later arrested Lane at his residence and transported him to the detective bureau for questioning. Investigators are still looking for the second suspect and the person who was driving the Honda. It is believed that the residents and suspects knew each other. The events leading to this incident remain under investigation.
Glentavious Gabriel Lane, age 19 from Macon was charged with (4) counts of Aggravated Assault, Terroristic Threats and Acts, and Possess/Transport/Receive Explosive/Destructive Devices with Intent to Kill/Injure or Destroy Building. He is currently being held in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center without bond.
