Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has received information that Georgia Department of Transportation has made lane adjustments for traffic traveling on I-16 westbound beginning at Spring Street to the I-75 northbound and I-75 southbound interchange.
The traffic lanes for westbound traffic on I-16 at Spring Street will run 2 lanes wide all the way through the interchange to I-75 north. Only one lane of I-16 west, the far left lane, will be used for traffic to merge onto I-75 southbound at the interchange. These lane adjustments will be in effect until further notice.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office wants to remind motorists to drive safely and slow down. We will advise of any other interstate traffic advisories for Macon and Bibb County as we receive them.
