The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office responded to assist the Macon-Bibb County Animal Welfare Office and the Georgia Department of Agriculture Inspectors, in reference to an Animal Cruelty investigation. According to Macon-Bibb County Welfare Officers, 74 small dogs were removed from Rock Ridge Kennels, located at 6875 Colaparchee Road, this afternoon for inhumane conditions, prolonged suffering, unsanitary conditions, and improper housing.

The owner of the kennel, Pam Daniels, age 73 of Macon, was taken to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and will be charged with (74 counts) of Animal Cruelty.

The dogs’ conditions will be reassessed by a veterinarian at the Macon-Bibb County Animal Welfare Office.  The dogs cannot be adopted out due to the on-going investigation.
