The investigation into an aggravated assault that took place on Lawton Avenue, Friday night, led to the arrest of a 16 year old juvenile. The juvenile was arrested around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon and turned over to the juvenile authorities at Youth Detention Center. It was reported that 18 year old Ladarius Washington was shot in the back of the left leg and 17 year old Kenyatta Jones was shot in the stomach area while in the 1900 block of Lawton Avenue at around 9:55p.m. Friday night. Both men were transported to a local hospital for treatment and have been released since. The juvenile was charged with Aggravated Assault and Participation of Criminal Street Gang Activity. Additional arrests are pending further investigation. December 9, 2014 Public’s Assistance in Identifying the Owner of a Red Dodge Durango and Person’s of Interest in the Aggravated Assault on Martin Luther King Boulevard The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the owner of a red Dodge Durango and persons of interest that were seen in the parking garage at Cherry Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at around 2:22a.m. There were two black males seen occupying the Durango. The first subject was wearing a royal blue jacket, white blue jeans and white tennis shoes. The second subject was wearing a white t-shirt, camouflaged pants and a baseball cap. The second subject was also wearing a gold grill in his mouth.
