A joint investigation between the Bibb County Sheriff’s Special Investigations Unit, Peach County Sheriff’s Office and Georgia Bureau of Investigations resulted in drug arrests on Thursday afternoon in three separate locations in South Bibb County.
Approximately one month ago the Georgia Bureau of Investigations and Peach County Sheriff’s Office shared information with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office about several people trafficking methamphetamine in Bibb County.
On Thursday afternoon deputies and investigators with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Special Investigations Unit, SWAT Team, along with investigators with the Georgia Bureau of Investigations and Drug Enforcement Agency served a search warrant at 3493 Spencer Circle. At the same time deputies and investigators made traffic stop on Broadway at Mead Road. A short time after investigators with the Bibb County Special Investigations Unit served an arrest warrant at 4740 San Juan Avenue. These were all related to the same narcotics case. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank all the agencies that assisted with the operation.
Investigators also have an arrest warrant for 43 year old Shennan Eurekus Dorsey for trafficking methamphetamine in relation to this case. Dorsey is a black male, 6 foot 1 inches in height and weighs approximately 220 pounds. A photograph of Dorsey is attached.
Approximately two kilos of methamphetamine were seized with a total street value of $235,500.00.
The following people were arrested in Thursday’s operation:
Julie Rebecca Merritt – 33 year old white female– Charged with trafficking methamphetamine. Merritt was arrested at the residence on Spencer Circle.
David Ashley Lanier – 50 year old white male– Charged with possession with intent methamphetamine, trafficking methamphetamine and sale of methamphetamine. Lanier was arrested on the traffic stop on Broadway at Mead Road.
Harolyn Kent – 52 year old white female – Charged with trafficking methamphetamine and sale of methamphetamine. Kent was arrested at the home on San Juan Avenue.
Rhonda Leah Patton – 58 year old white female – Charged with possession of methamphetamine. Patton was arrested at the home on San Juan Avenue.
