The US Marshals Southeastern Regional Fugitive Task Force and Bibb County Sheriff’s Investigators arrested 34 year old Najiy Williams Thursday morning just before 9:00 a.m. on the charges of rape and trafficking of persons for labor or sexual servitude. Williams was arrested without incident at an address on Rocky Creek Road.
On February 18, 2017, Bibb County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Greyhound Bus Station at 65 Spring Street at around 12:15 p.m. in reference to a sexual assault on a female. It was reported by the female victim that she was sexually assaulted in a room at the Roadway Inn, located at 130 Holiday Inn Drive North. It was also reported that a black male she only knew as “King” was holding her against her will and tried to force her into prostitution. The female had been lured to Macon with the promise of work by the suspect from an online site. Once she arrived she reported being intimidated with force in attempts to make her commit acts of prostitution.
Investigators with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit, Gang Unit and Criminal Investigations Division, assisted by agents from the FBI, conducted an investigation into the incident. The investigation led to 5 search warrants being served on February 18, 2017 by all law enforcement listed above with the additional assistance of the Bibb County Sheriff’s SWAT Team. The search warrants were served on 5 rooms at the Roadway Inn.
Four other females also reported to be lured by the suspect to Macon were also found at the hotel. The suspect was not at the hotel. During the investigation the suspect was identified as 34 year old Najiy Williams of Macon. Arrest warrants were issued for Williams’ arrest. All of the female victims were safely removed from the hotel.
