The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Gang Unit and S.W.A.T. Team arrested six individuals for gun and drug charges during a narcotics search warrant that was executed on January 6, 2021.

While serving the narcotics search warrant at an Applewood Street address, investigators recovered three handguns, two of the handguns were reported to be stolen. Investigators also seized over a pound of marijuana, digital scales, and packaging materials. Investigators arrested 28-year-old Deontress Marquis Moore, 19-year-old Camrone Lane Cherry, 21-year-old Demarkis Jamichael Hammonds, 20-year-old Jashon Demon Jackson, and two juveniles. The juveniles ages are 14 & 16.

All of the arrested individuals were charged with (3) counts of Possession of Firearm, During Commission of or Attempt to Commit Certain Felonies, (1) count of Purchase, Possession, Manufacture, Distribution, or Sale of Marijuana, and (2) counts of Theft by Receiving Stolen Property-Felony. Moore, Cherry, Hammonds, and Jackson were transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and are being held, without bond. The juvenile cases were turned over to Juvenile Courts. This investigation is ongoing.
